Work Party Childcare
Here is everything you need to know about this year's Work-Party Childcare. If you plan on taking part in this, read this email very carefully! If you are a booth coordinator and/or you know someone who is not on the internet, PLEASE share this email with them. I will have all this information re-published on CVDrum and our CV Website.
We are lucky this year to have an additional adult childcare provider, and so can offer you 4 work party dates to choose from!! This dauntless individual is Bethany (Taylor's sister) of Little People fame. Both Taylor and Bethany are experienced with caring for kids, chasing kids at Fair, CPR/First-Aid, and general fun and mayhem.
DATES:
Sunday, June 14th -- 11-3 (Taylor)
Saturday, June 27th -- 11-3 (Bethany)
Sunday, June 28th -- During the onsite meeting only (Taylor & Bethany...who will be leaving promptly after the meeting for their mom's birthday party)
Saturday, July 4th -- 11-3 (Bethany)
Sunday, July 5th -- 11-3 (Taylor)
RSVP and Cancelation Information:
You must RSVP your child to Taylor (taylorjane@gmail.com or 683-8250) so that we can plan snacks, games, supplies, and volunteers appropriately. We would like to have 3 or more children at a work party, because it makes it more fun for everyone! So talk to your friends and set up an 'on-site play-date'! If no one RSVPs for a particular work party, that one will be cancelled and will not be re-scheduled. If you don't RSVP your child(ren) and plan on just showing up...you could be disappointed. If you need to cancel with us, please do so by the night before - again this helps us plan for our day!
**If no child(ren) show up by 1:30, the childcare is cancelled and we will find other things to do in the Village. Please, be as timely as possible so that we can have as much fun as possible!**
What to Expect & What to Bring:
We usually get a cart or wagon, load it up with bags, balls, snacks, and kids and take off on adventures (this is a good reason to show up close to 11:00!). We go to Main Camp for Lemonade or Tea, off to the Dragon to inspect it, out to Chela Mela for running, down to Main Stage to run in the sprinklers...butterfly counting, cloud chasing, tree hugging, and more can be a part of our day.
We will bring some snacks and water with us, as well as games. Please have your child prepared with:
*A WATER BOTTLE (especially if it is hot!)
*Bug spray and sunscreen that you are comfortable with (we provide some, but you know best what should be on your child's skin)
*Sack lunch (or let us know if you want your kid back in the Village to eat with you)
*Appropriate clothing and shoes - layers, swimsuit (if hot), etc.
*Diapers/underwear for those who might need them.
Parent Volunteers:
As the Work Party dates draw near, we will know how many (if any) parent volunteers are needed to help play hard and stay safe. Calls for such assistance will go out over the email list, so keep your eyes on it. This usually counts toward a work party requirement!
